Founded in 2006 as a unique fundraising initiative for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Cincinnati, Spin for the Cure has continually raised money and awareness to combat breast cancer.

Vickie Magliano, founder of Spin for the Cure, had a touching reason for starting the event in Cincinnati: "I had two very close friends diagnosed with breast cancer. I felt compelled to take action and do everything I could to help. Being a spinning instructor, this seemed like the most natural way for me to help raise money to support my friends as well as supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure."

Spin for the Cure is an event that suits both experienced spinners as well as those who have never attended a Spinning® class. Each spinner determines their own level of resistance on the bike and the sessions are designed to be fun and to build positive energy in the room during the ride. Those who choose not to spin can still participate by donating support to a friend, colleague or family member who wants to participate in one of the rides.
